    Canon DR-9080C Jamming

Figured it would be best to start a new thread for this.

I got another one of these scanners and it wont stop jamming. It is jamming just past the top optics unit. it seemed to work better when there were worn down retard rollers in there, the new retard rollers are causing jams almost immediately. It will take one or two pages tops before it stops.

I replaced the whole assembly that houses the retard roller as well as the top two feed and pickup rollers...no difference. I'm stumped on this one. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can be a bad motor or circuit board.Did you clean all sensors and black delivery rollers?

I'll try the circuit board...I cleaned all the rollers.

The one on top or at the back.

Whenever you have a situation of a jam, never try anything unless you are through with the state of sensors and their flags around the area where the jam is indicated. Make sure the seating of the new retard rollers is not cheating on a sensor or might be finding it difficult moving the paper over a sensor flag.
After a copy paper passes over a sensor flag, the flag should smoothly go back to home position. If this fails, it will indicate a jam.
Your fault appears to be more of mechanical than electronic. Paying more attention to the retard rollers and the sensors may do the trick.

Well i swapped a bunch of parts from a parts machine so im not sure exactly which one was the culprit but it seems to be working great now on letter paper but is jamming when coming out the top on 11x17...possibly another sensor not working? I'm about ready to tell this guy to trash it and get something else.

          Edit: Error Code P02

JAM-P02= Front or back registration sensor has detected a document length that is longer than specified.

            Delivery rollers, slipping

            Scanner counter?

Replaced delivery rollers from a different machine...might need to get brand new ones though i suppose.

              Counter at 3,808,933

              Reset the count though.
