    iRADV8505 machine hang

    Good day guys,

I have a unit iRADV8505 the machine you can ON and ready to copy. But the panel LCD display seems like hang freeze and slow response when you try press a function on it. I suspect is the HDD problem and swap from a running condition machine but ERROR code appear E602-1401. Is it now for 3rd generation ADV machine the HDD you can't swap from 1 machine to another machine just like the serial number and counter ?

Any way to get this problem solve...? Thank you guys in advance for your advice if any.

Not sure about the HDD swap, wouldn't suprise me though...

But is it just the functions of the display ? If you manage to make a copy, doe that work normaly ? can you print normaly ?
I know of the IRAVc52xx machines having a problem with it''s displays...

btw. if you have a running machine (since you took out the disk from that one) you could easely swap the displays. It's not that difficicult..

Yes we have try to swap the panel assembly but is still the same.( Is not panel display problem) . Further checking the machine can't perform copying it does not response at all. Try to go in to service mode just want to clear DC and MN Con to try out but it just no response.

Did you try with self diagnostics?

You mean by pressing 2 & 4 together and power up the machine right ? Try that result is " OK "

You can't swap HDD, can't remember what Canon calls it, but its mated to the system and you cannot put into another copier.

                  Start simple....

Check for sticky buttons on the control panel. One key stuck down can confuse the machine.

Are they running Power over Ethernet?... That'll mess up the controller in your display. Disconnect the network cable, reboot and see if it starts responding normally.

                  ...good luck.

If the touchpanel is slow to operate and the buttons are slow to operate, the CPU PCB must be replaced.
