    [CQ] Canon IR7086 - print quality very light/faint

    Hi folks,

    Good day!

    Recently I have encountered an issue where my print/copy are really light/faint. I have attached the above file where you can see the print that I mean really light/faint.

    Just to give a summary on what I did after this problem existed;
    1) The developer pictures which is the result after I tried vacuum once and after adjusted the doctor blade, the result doesn't change.
    2) I tried to turn on and off the potential control, when i off it, it looks much darker but it is not the solid dark that I want.
    3) I also adjusted the developer speed, it makes the print out slightly darker but still not the result I looking for.

    Let me know if you still need any further information and million thanks for your advice.

    Regards

    Did you try to change the toner or swarp dev units?
    Also try to adjust the primary charger.

      Thanks for the reply. Truly appreciated it.

      I didn't try to swap the developer units because I dont have an alternative. I will try to swap the toner. But before that, can i know how to adjust the primary charger?

      regards
      Alex

          i would just swap out the developer powder, look at the coronas, make sure there is no toner on them, wipe gently with some alcohol with a qtips on the wires but my bet would be the transfer belt or developer powder.
          Good Luck

            There is a lot of info here about light quality on the 7095 . Some came with bad laser units. NWRS can send you a refurbed laser. In the service manual there are instructions to check for certain values in SM. This alone can confirm a faulty laser unit.
            I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.
