Here is a break down of the procedure.

As soon as the screen is displayed on the control panel, select the following Service Mode:

COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > AINR-OFF; then, enter '1' and press the OK key.

    Y Developing Assembly: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INISET-Y
    M Developing Assembly: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INISET-M
    C Developing Assembly: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INISET-C
Bk Developing Assembly: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INISET-K
    'OK!'
is displayed on the screen after completion of this mode.
You can also do iniset 4.

Execute the following service mode: COPIER > FUNCTION > MISC-P > P-PRINT; then, store the
output papers. If there is any previous P-PRINT output, replace it with the new one.

Exit Service Mode, and select User Mode > Auto Gradation Correction. Execute Auto Gradation
Correction (full adjust) according to the instruction on the display.

I would like to know where you can get just the DEV or starter
        Thats the MAIN problem

The DEV units are fine just the DEV has run out
and you will never get a good ratio on the dev service code.
Then the ATR just goes nutz......its really working like it should
but cuz the developer/toner ratio is bad

well thats just what happens and
YOU ARE RIGHT only 75-80K before they all go bad
BUT the K will be ok cuz its not reading the K in color.

Well what do you know, after all
        I am NOT crazy

Screwtape nailed it on the head.
Where can you get JUST the starter for these dev units .
I know how to do the rest.
I still get no answer from canon.
