    iR3035N Error

    Good day

I still have not found a maintenance manual, so please bear with my questions. Thanks again for the help in the past.
Now my one machine - an iR3035N is failing - paper jams up and then it stops dead with error code E000024-0001.
I have cleared the jam (numerous times), but it keeps doing this.
Hope somebody can give me some advice on the error code and how to fix it.

The paper jem is probably due to the code coming up during a run. The E-024 refers to the developing unit toner sensor. Make sure the mylar scraper is cleaning the sensor. But it could also be a wiring issue or maybe the DC Controller, but I would look at the dev unit clean and reseat the sensor and be sure the scraper is cleaning it properly.
Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.

      Hello,

The error relates to the dev connector wire, I would check to see if it is either:
      1. Plugged in - if you have had to take the dev out for any reason
      2. There are no broken wires - this is a pig to replace as it is part of the main loom
      3. No toner has got in the connection causing a short.

Failling this check the ATR sensor and replace if required.

      Hope this helps.

Also make sure that your using genuine canon toner and keep in mind that there two toner sensors, one on the developing ass'y and one on the hopper ass'y towards the rear; Both have the same P# FK2-0358-000.
        Goodluck,

if u have the same result after the above mentioned troubleshooting, here's the thing that you might have missed.. take out u'r dev unit and manually rotate the dev drive gear. feel its rotation, i assumed its heavy to rotate. if you have another machine with the same model, you will know what i am telling. it should be light to rotate that gear.. you're dev. ass'y have too much toner in it. remove some toner and feel again the drive gear rotation. you got E code coz your machine sensed the dev. unit ass'y is heavy to rotate therefore giving you error 0024......

            Thanks!

Thank you all for your input.
I spent the whole morning taking it out, swopping out sensors, checking connections, testing everything - taking good care not to spill / waste any toner! After I emptied the developer somewhat it's good as new!

Again really appreciating ALL the input!
