Canon iR 1730 Service Mode

Trying to get into Service Mode on iR1730 in order to configure Outgoing email address and ports.
I hit *2&8* and it's not really Service Mode just yet... what I get is a bunch of choices such as: #SSSW, #MENU, #NUMERIC, #SPECIAL, #NCU, #FAX, #SCAN, #PRINT, #NETWORK, #CODEC, #SYSTEM, #ACC, #COUNTER, #LMS, #ERDS, #DOWNLOAD, #REPORT, #CLEAR, #DISPLAY, #ROM, #TEST MODE. There's Left / Right Arrows to scroll, and OK button. If I choose #SYSTEM & Hit OK, then SW comes up.
How do I get all the way into Service Mode to change the Outgoing Ports & put in the outgoing email and PWD? Please help. Thanks!

You dont need to enter service mode to set up email scan use the RUI.

Unfortunately, that is service mode for the 1730. Not an easy interface to navigate.
