    C5035 Copy Quality

See attached sample of copies on a C5035. Doesn't show on Black, only on colors. Replacing drum did not make a change. Sample barely shows yellow, but yellow looks just like magenta and cyan. Stirred developers, no change. Any ideas?

We have not. This is a COD customer and they said they mainly copy in b/w so the color wasn't important to them right now and would let us know if that changed. I just wanted some ideas to go back with if they call. Thanks for the suggestion, will definitely try that if/when we go back.

Just had one with the same problem, except this one was a 5235, on the top not middle, only colors too, replaced transfer roller, helped 100%, but still very slight there. Going to replace transfer belt next, will post if solution is found.

increase the fuser temp & see if this resolves the issue.

In my case we did replace with different fuser, didnt help, like it was pointed out, black is no problem, only the colors. Mine with different Transfer seconday roller did improve copy quality tremendously. That was Wednesday, they were going to run a big run that night, they would let me know if problem persisted. Didn't hear from them.

              No news is good news,

Normally when the Transfer unit does this its all over the paper. There were updated springs to prevent this kind of problem. Its easy to remove and install the transfer assembly. I have solved this problem with updating them or replacing the outer transfer roller.

Secondary thought. Color process uses the HVT more for calibration. Doesn't for black. HVT can have issues with aftermarket drums if DPC is not current. Dont use them on high speeds. Because its in a small section it could be because of a dirty ITB rollers.
I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.
