Hello last year 2019 I had a problem something similar with a Canon go adv c5051 printer, the customer for not having time to buy the magenta gpr30 toner, I take out the toner bottle and fill it with magenta gpr11 toner, after a couple of days The printer started printing with magenta lines or stripes.
the hopper was removed to aspirate the contaminated toner, development unit was changed, drum unit.
The developer settings and gradation adjustment were made.

New OEM drum and developer solved the issue. Hard to explain to the customer that has a compatible drum in the c5235 next to it working just fine. But its working!

        This ^

This problem originates from bad generic toner. These machines are picky when it comes to toner. Must use OEM toners.

1.Swap all non oem toner with canon products
        2.Replace effected developer(S)
        3. I just run doubled sided 11 X 17 copies in the color effected until the hopper gets emptied. Usually 100-200 and then the hoper and developer should be filled with the oem toner enough that you should be in the clear.

It's a HUGE pain. Gpr-30/31 consumables are crazy expensive. I just cringe when sending the bill for a full set of the toner.
