    i have a canon image runner c 5800,,with a code E000004-0042,,how can i rest this code,and do i need to replace thermostat,,or temp,fuses..please help

      Go to service mode, hit > additional function> 2 and 8 then additional function again, Copier>function>clear>err and press ok. Reboot machine, if the code comes back check the rear and fixing terminal connectors. Check heater lamps, thermo switch and thermistors, aslo check the condition of the fixing rollers and see if they have flat spots. Good Luck,

        hello zaza,,how you doing,,,

        thanks for your help..i try to do what you told me to do, but no luck,,the machine go to a warm up and dont, let me in services mode,,how can i get in to the services mode,,

          Access Service mode * 2 then 8 * From the control panel. Is the fixing ass'y getting at least getting warm, can you check to see if the heater lamps are going on. E004-0042 is not in the book.

          There is an error in the fixing assembly protection circuit.
          There is an open circuit or poor contact in the main thermistor (THM1, THM2, THM3) or sub thermistor (TH4, THM5, THM6). The AC driver PCB or the DC controller PCB has a fault.

          0001

          There is an SSR error in the outside heating roller heater.

          Check the main thermistor and the sub thermistor for an open circuit and poor contact; then,turn off and then on the main power.

          There is an SSR error in the fixing sub heater.

          Check the main thermistor and the sub thermistor for an open circuit and poor contact; then,turn off and then on the main power.

            Thanks i will try to do that on monday,,,i thinking now thiers is no heater lamp caming on,,,usually is the thermistor,or the temp,fuse..thanks
