[Electrical] irac 5535 no ops panel

I have a irac5535 with a blank ops panel. The energy saver light blinks intermittently and the power light is on. The adf responds with light when paper inserted and the sorter cycles the rollers. After turning off the power switch the energy saver and power lights do not turn off. Never seen this before any ideas will be greatly appreciated. I have unplugged the machine letting it totally power down but this had no effect.

Check the mains power supply if correct. Try to turn on with the doors open, probably faulty controller

There is a flow chart in the service manual that will help. It relies on what control panel lights come on and the pattern of the flashes. I have had success using it to find out what failed. (main cont, PS, etc)

I did try with doors open but there was no change in the ops panel

are you talking about the controller self diagnostic tool?

Can you still print or does the machine stop working at all? If you can print, you can use the Remote Operation Panel software to check if it is an operation panel or a controller issue.

it wont let us print or enter download mode..

if you have the manual the chart is in the troubleshooting section, start up system failure diagnosis

You could try this.

The LED only flickered once and went out, taking the TPM board off and restarting made no difference. I think I'll send the Main Board and Riser to Hytech to have them checked out.

Did you flash the machine? Will it boot in download mode? Load firmware on USB and flash it if it boots in download mode. The gen3 machines are very flakey. Had issues similar with 4535IIIs. Did you run controller diagnostics?(hold down 2 and 4 while booting)
