Canon IPF750 - head replaced, head cleaning gives 03800500-2F42

    Hi i got a beauty

I took it over from a friend in order to repair it in full, bought a new head, replaced it, did a nozzle check and it gives me this

    2 boxes are gone

when performing a head cleaing i get 03800500-2F42. I'm aware that he has pushed the previous head over the top, +2800 days, could this have damaged the main board ? I still see prices for main boards at being way to expensive for this repair> $650

prints are still ok ; what to do ?

I would look at the purge unit and/or the carriage unit. Looks like you have a lack of air suction. Check your tubes for air pockets in them
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

If the prints are Ok I wouldn't worry too much however, what ink is in the machine, genuine or 'refilled?'

have you checked the head cable/connections?

what units are you trained on?

do you have a manual? ( a MUST on these )

Cap absorbers ever been replaced? If mixed colors on nozzle check, a lot of the time it's plugged cap absorbers. And overdue printheads will short and fry main controller
