    iR C2020 error E074-0000

    hello everyone

i know this is an ITB disengagement error, i have both the service and parts manuals, but for the life of me i cannot see where SW01 is nor SL01

machine was printing blanks, then came up with the error, managed to get rid of the error temporarily and did a stop test - image on drum but not ITB

machine has done only 44k prints and with the top cover off i can see the ITB disengagement coupling rotate, but it stops in a different position every time

can anyone tell me where the switch and solenoid are?

    thanks in advance

thanks Teckat! ended up attending blind, removed rear covers, waste toner assy, HVT boards, harness, main drive and fuser drive, behind which was the alienation 'lever-type' solenoid, which was sticking due to the foam pad having turned to goo - covered the gooey foam pad with sticky tape, cleaned the lever and all good

interesting to note: getting the main drive back in and aligned correctly with ITB drive release (and other parts) was 'fun' - took 1.5 hrs all up

Thank for the info I will make note of this. Those pads Canon use have been failing like this for years shame they are still using the same material.

believe it or not, the first time i performed this "sticky tape" repair on a lever type solenoid was on a HP LJ III, which as you likely know is a canon engine - the repair lasted 10 years before the elderly man finally got rid of it

I remember the C2380 series reg actuator had a tiny pad this would cause a jam first thing in the morning.
