[Error Code] IR-ADV 65XX Admin password forgot

Dear Team,

Kindly help me to overcome from this issue your immediate support would be much appreciated

Scenario :

Customer X IT person messed up this device security settings and now they have realized the machine has issue

1. Changed Administrator password
2. Enabled Restrict Service Representative Access - ON
3. Enabled Prohibit Initialization of Administrator Password - ON

Actions taken so far :

1. PWD-CLR executed
2. MMI Cleared
3. PLPW-CLR DONE
4. MN-CONT EXECUTED
5. Unable to update the firmware because machine is in "Restrict special Mode Operations " mode
6. Unable to format the HDD( With Service mode & SST ) because machine is in "Restrict special Mode Operations " mode

Kindly advise the way forward

Start the Machine in 2-8 mode and initialize the HDD

Thanks for your reply . I have tried 2+8 bootup but the machine initialized with download mode and stating that " download mode cannot be used " because the machine in in restriction mode

Have you to try to get into the RUISettings/Registration : Management Settings : Device Management > Access limit settings responsible for assistance


and change the setting?

Forgot this is done with a license now. If your not a canon dealer you will need to contact one. Licensing can now be done online (In the states anyway) now that Canon finally got most of Esupport back online today.
