    Canon ir 1435

    I have a canon ir 1435 it copies one side faint, I have replaced the fuser film, the fuser roller, the drum but it prints one faint still. May I be assisted I have failed to know what is wrong.

      you haven't addressed the IMAGE section except for the drum....

      have you done a stop test? is the image good on the drum?

      how many pages on the unit?

      Genuine OEM toner or 3rd party crap ..

      did you clean the laser slit glass/led bar?

      other than shotgunning parts at it what troubleshooting process did you use? Shotgunning IMHO is a waste of money and tends to piss off the customer from the return trip(s).

          If you have a copy quality problem faint you needed to start in the image process area not fuser is the laser or slit glass clean it's best to fit oem drum unit not just drum cylinder (they rubbish) also use oem toner

              Most likely the problem is the laser shutter, I already had this malfunction several times,
              I usuallytake the shutter off and for that you don't need to disassemble the machine.
              Open the door and remove the drum, put your hand in the opening that is visibleunder the fixing and then turn it down and go until you can grab the shutter, pull upuntil it detaches and take it out.

                  I don't see you mention the condition of the developing unit magnetic roller, paper dust builds up inside the developer blade and toner is not evenly distributed on the magnetic roller, thus making parts of the image appear faint.

                      These developers are junk. I have replaced many for light areas. With the drum out, look a the dev cylinder...blank areas galore probably. Feed rollers last longer than devs in these. I've also seen the laser shutter tab on the drum gets bent, not opening shutter all the way
