IR ADV 4525i scan issues

    IR ADV 4525i scan issues

    Trying to set up smb scanning to 2 computers that return a error of check server which they are not on
    a server. All fields are correct on copier and it will scan to my laptop connected to there network, also we have 2 kyocera's
    in the same office that scan smb also with no problems to both computers. Both computers and my laptop is running windows 10.
    My hair has turn gray on this one any thoughts.

    does the copiers have SMB v2 turned on?

      Canon use the term 'server' to mean PC/computer.

      Update your firmware and/or check SMB v2/3 is enabled.

        Firmware is up to date and smb2/3 turn own, sorry

            KYOCERA dealer, canon copier came with the business when it move here last week. They bought
            2 copiers from us and asked if we could set the canon up too and we told them we would
            give it shot and believe me i did a lot of searching before posting here.

              Try creating a new user on the customer's PC, something simple like User: Scans and Password Scans. At the Canon: Setting/Registration> Set Destination> Register Destination> Register New Destination> File> Browse (This way you navigate to Network, Computer) Use the new credentials and then you will see Shared Folders available. Other thing to try, check DNS settings....maybe use IP address instead of Host name to verify. If all else fails....If you get it scanning on one PC, you can map that drive folder on the other PC's

                  Check to make sure no software firewall/antivirus is running on the machines. Norton and McAfee especially give me issues aswell as kaspersky.

                      Not Canon. But Microsoft.

                        I think NTLMv2 has to turned on to scan on Win10
