4045 registration settings changing

Customers 4045 was cutting off parts of copies and scans. Tech adjusted registration speen and doc stop settings in service mode and had it scanning correctly, then a few scans later it started doing the same thing. It isn't storing the settings for any length of time. Would this be the reader controller pcb?

If you do 10 scans to a computer is the registration off ?

If you do 10 copies is the registration off ? if so registration clutch or thereabouts.

Scan/copy from DF or glass?
Agree on registration clutch especially if it does it from glass AND incorrectly placed images are moving on paper in subscan direction.

Have you changed or cleaned the feed rollers ? I would start there before ordering a RCON or any other items. Stick to the basics first.

He's saying that he adjusted the registration timing and the machine isn't storing the setting.
