Hello, I have a canon IRC2380i and is only working as a printer. Feeder and scanner are connected. However, I do not have 'copy' nor 'scan' option on the screen. they are totally gone. the scanner lamp works whilst machine startup etc.. but the machine only works while printing from computer. would a factory reset solve the problem or a firmware reinstallation? is there any precautions that I should consider before I do either step ? thank you !

Check this service mode setting.
COPIER>OPTION>BODY W/SCNR For copy models, sets whether scanner is present.
The setting value takes effect after the main power switch is turned OFF/ON.
Setting values
0: Printer model
1: Model with scanner
Failing that yes try updating to the latest SSW.Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!
