    [Misc] Canon C5045 finisher removal

Hi guys! I'm so happy that I have stumbled across this forum as it seems like an absolute wealth of knowledge. I am wondering if someone would be able to help me.

I have inherited the job of moving a Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5045 that has the C1 Staple Finisher and B1 Hole Punch unit attached. Does anyone know how to remove both of these? I won't be able to move it from where it is with them attached due to a lack of space and tight corners. I have checked the service manual for an installation guide of some sort, but haven't managed to find what I am looking for. I have taken some panels off but can't seem to see where anything disconnects from the main unit itself. Before I go and take a screwdriver any further and pull what is left of my hair out, I was hoping that someone had a more direct/official/tried and tested way of doing this.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Shaun

Very simple to remove the finisher from the coper, you can keep the holepunch attached to the finisher & move it as one piece.

    Here's the installation guide.

Thank you so much! I feel like an absolute idiot for not noticing this at all. That took all of 30 seconds. You're an absolute lifesaver!

No worries, that hidden latch is not immediately obvious.
