    Login RUI password

I recently bought a Canon Advance 4535i that had a Meap access card and could not get in using 7654321. I did a couple of things that allowed me to get in through the copier panel but I can't get in through the RUI. I ended up doing an initialized setting and it boots up to a normal screen and functions but I still can't login through web browser. It shows a login page instead of the copier info and if I use 7654321 it says incorrect. I also tried MeapSmsLogin and that doesn't work.

I did that unless there is a separate one for the RUI that I don't know about.

No I did not. What else would get cleared by clearing MMI? I think it has something to do with the MEAP software but I can't get into the RUI to deactivate the license.

This is what I had to do to allow access to the RUI portal. I changed the password from 7654321 to 1234567 on the copier and then logged in on the web browser User: Administrator, PW: 1234567. I don't know why I couldn't use the default even after clearing password in service mode.

For security reasons, you cannot log in to the Remote UI using the default password (7654321) for the Administrator user. Log in to the Remote UI after changing the password of the Administrator user from the control panel.

You can use default pass when setting on machine:

                    ( (Settings/Registration) <Management Settings> <Security Settings> <Authentication/Password Settings> <Password Settings> <Allow Use of Default Password for Remote Access> <On>

What if NO Canon info comes up. Just the warning about the certificate from Firefox. No Canon log in box! .... then what?
I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.

You have to accept the Certificate, "Accept the Risk and continue" or something like that.

Of course we do that. Results are still the same ...nothing. It seems you have to be Superman to find this solution or the Main con clear might solve it....

Sorry, I don't know you und you didn't were part of this thread, so I might have got you wrong. I would try the MMI Con Clear after checking the mentioned settings in this thread and, if this doesn't fix it, considering the MN Con Clear. Are there any other problems with this machine?

I recently had a 3525 where the Department ID-Login was gone from the Panel and the admin login was not working for the RUI. Users where able to print without counting, but when trying to copy, an error about the missing ID stopped them. The Login at the control panel was greyed out and the settings too. Surely some kind of software issue. PWD-Clear allowed RUI-Login (only), did a BackUp there, MMI-Clear, Firmware-Update, Restored User-data and now it seems to be working again. :/
