[Dead] Canon IR 7570 doesn't boot fully, flashing energy saver light, no screen

I'm the tech - remote - for a Canon IR ADV 7570 machine which isn't booting up.

When it is turned on, here is what happens:

- there were some sounds of motors turning,
- no ping,
- the screen did not turn on at all,
- the energy saver light is pulsating and
- the main power light is on.
- Pressing any button on the Control panel does nothing.
- They do hear a humming from the machine now that it is on.

Any ideas?

Hello ,
I have faced this issue on ir 8205.
Mainly it could be a firmware issue or the main controller pcb 1 is defected.

First try removing and connecting back the main controller .

Next try changing it , if the printer start , i prefer to install a new firmware.

If still the same , remove the serial pcb to be able to start the printer in download mode and install the firmware.

Run some basic Voltage checks:
AC from outlet to
AC input to
AC OUT to DC in> DC out

Control Panel must be up

Had this on a C7565...machine was good for a day, went in next morning to drop spare toner. ADF was raised as though a sheet was in it. Pulsing sleep mode light, but totally silent otherwise.

Reboot gave me some motor sounds but would never display anything or get to ready.

It was main controller.

Hi, stick to the basics, attached is the flow chart for the control panel green led's
basically if its flashing its possibly main controller if its not its possibly power

Thanks very much for all the answers.

Turns out the folks at that location wanted to upgrade/replace the machine rather than buy parts, etc. Works for me. But thanks for the advice and attachments. I'm sure that'll be helpful at some point.

Have a similar problem on a canon 6575. I do have 12 volt DC on back of machine. Click on link to see symptoms

Just 12v?
No 3v, 5v,24v?
Where are you taking your readings from?

Sorry meant to say. I took random readings on the PCBs in the back and I get DC voltages. Now I have a Canon c5550 and c615 At the same location with same problem. Definitely sounds like there's building voltage issues. Building electrician says no at this point. Parts/PCB's are on the way

Three printers in same building/ with similar issues= VOLTAGE ISSUES in Building

Outlets need to be checked/ and or monitored , voltage drops to below 10%
also could be a Ground to Netural issue on building suppply

Out let's checked. Nothing found as cause when checked. Need answers what's needed to fix 6575 then worry about others. Will be putting machines on a new ac circuit to be sure wall power doesn't cause again

I remember a similar case and it was a bare cable (crushed) to the chassis...

Was the main pcb. Talked to hytec who we got a new Pcb from said it's common. A chip heats up looses solder connections
