    Canon iR c3330i - Error E602-0701

    Hi,

I'm on a ship at sea and we currently have one of our copy/scan/print machines not working. When you turn the power on it shows the loading bar, then goes to a black screen with "E602-0701" and asks to turn OFF the power.
From what I can find it seems to be a hard drive issue.
We have some spare 2.5" SATA hard drives on board that I could probably use if this hard drive is bad. Could I just clone a drive from one of our other C3330i machines and install in this one and call it a day? Or is there some other recommended thing to do?

    Thanks

You can try cloning but the Canon's are ready picky about which hard drives you use and not had much luck in cloning a Canon hard drive. Not just any hard drive will work. Needs to be a supported Canon hard drive for that model.

You can try holding down the 1&9 and Powering it on and see if it will go into a Scan repair on the hard drive. Some will and some will not.

Swap out the HDD with the one that works on the identical model you have in the shop.

Then turn it on and see what happens should work.

Try reloading the firmware in safe mode.

Create a system software USB pen with the SST then power on the machine holding down 2&8 then choose overwrite all.
