Canon C270 Feeder Error: E280-0004

Good morning

I wonder if someone could help me please.

We have a Canon C270 that keep popping up with an intermittent error code: E280-0004. It happens when someone tries to scan/copy when using the automatic feeder tray. It doesn't pick up the paper so it's not causing a jam anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Per the service manual: Re-Seat or replace the flat cable between the reader controller PCB and the reader scanner unit.
