    [Misc] Ci 40 MFP Software

    Hello,

I have a Colortrac SmartLF Ci40 scanner that has been sold by Canon (has a serial number that starts with DN) - I think canon calls it the "Ci40 MFP Solution". From what I can tell, to operate the scanner, I can only use a piece of software called SmartWorks MFP.

The only version of this software that I have is v2.11. The installer for this version also installs the USB drivers for it. However, even on Windows 7, although quick scan works, when using preview mode, the software hangs or crashes. To be clear, the scanner itself doesn't have any issues - it works as it should.

The bundled PC that came with the scanner had v2.12 of SmartWorks MFP installed and it worked great. However, it is in German and it doesn't want to change the UI language to English.

I have called basically everyone that Canon says could help me find the piece of software that I need under the sun and none of them has been able to assist me (or more likely didn't care to).

Can anyone send me the latest piece of software (and in general advise me which pieces of software are compatible with my scanner) that will allow me to operate the scanner and its software properly? I have Windows 7 x64 installed on the bundled PC.

    Thanks.

Hello, I have bought a COLORTRAC SmartLF Ci 40 and it doesn't have the calibration sheet. I'm desperately searching the world for it, but no one has it, at least to tell me what it looks like, how big it is, or at least a photo with the measurements so I can take one and calibrate my equipment, which without that sheet is just a huge paperweight. Can someone help me?

Hi friend, I need to fix this mistake I'm showing you in the photos, where one cis is misaligned with the others. I need at least the measurements to do it myself.

have you tried to manually stitch the sensors through the settings?

I don't have a copy or a scan of the auto stitch target, it's just some diagonal lines in the spaces inbetween the sensors

Hi friend, I've already calibrated it, and are you having any problems with the equipment? I've learned a lot these past few days and have solved the connection problems. Write to me if you need anything (david85g@gmail.com). I'm a Canon technician.
