Ive never heard of 17-39 in a million years. Its not gonna work. Canon uses the SST (Service support tools) which is a proprietary software tool.

No i dont think so because the Firware is probly different. Try calling HYTEC. They might have a HDD with firmware installed on it. Anytime your dealing with firmware your gonna be out of luck without dealer help. You need a used HDD from a C3330i copier. Canon uses the HDD to store the boot up data. This is not the case for lets say a Konica Minolta. Canon uses the HDD to boot up. Other brands only use the HDD to store and scan.

As others have said you can't just fit any HDD to a Canon you have to purchase an identical drive to your failed one.
You get the firmware VIA Email and copy it to a USB. You dont need any SST for jack. You have to find a Canon dealer who is willing to give you the firmware. Has to be copied on flash drive so that the firmware is at top of the list. Then yes, its power up 28
You should find a used HDD from a junked machine and then you wont need the firmware. Without a buddy at a Canon dealer your out of luck. Pay Canon Buis solutions 200.00 to come out with the firware is another option. E602 means that your HDD is dead.

Was it the correct hdd it has to be supplied by Canon for that series. If you taken from an other machine of the same model you may have to reload firmware on the newer machine Canon are stopping just swapping hdd you will get a 602 error also you need sst to put firmware on a USB look for CTN user copier tech he's website details are on his profile
