    Howdy everyone

    I have a customer with iR Adv C5535i. They do a lot of TWAIN based scanning on the device. They are using NAPS2 as the utility they scan into. This has been working fine all this time until recently when the number of pages per scan increased a lot... average of 500 pages per scan. The utility they use now does not compress the PDF files enough. can anybody recommend and freeware or open source scanning apps that I can test to see if there are better compression on the PDF files.

    They cant do scan to folder or scan to mail etc. they have to scan into an application

      You could try the built in Windows 'pull' scan app.

      I have a few clients using this in Win 11.

          Thank you for suggestion but looks like this way does not give the option for PDF file. Unless I'm missing something?
