NP 6317 counter running

Hello

I have a bit strange problem with Canon NP 6317

When turned on, fans starts and copy counter starts running about 2 "copys" in second ???

display is blank - no leds glowing

power supply seems OK

I detached HV unit - but same thing (no arcing)


Any ideas ???

Scanner stuck? Make sure scanner carriage isn't sticky...clean and oil the rails...its a start. Control panel button stuck maybe also
