    Canon IR 2010 Network Card

Having a problem with this 2010 seeing the network card. The card is showing activity and is connection to the network, however when going to the network settings I get the error message. "Network requires additional equitpment." This function used to work fine untill IT redid the mac address reserve and the ip in the copier started to go hay wire.

In service mode what switchs needs to be activated for the copier to see the network card.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,

I am a little confused here, did I.T. (Idiots in Training) make these changes on the copier, or on something on their network?

You might want to try performing an 'All Clear' on the imageRUNNER this will resolved the issue and Network Settings will be able to be accessed through Additional Functions. The 'All Clear' can be accessed in Service Mode by Additional Functions > ID> #12 Clear> All > OK and power cycling the machine.

It started in I.T. removing the static IP assigned to the copier and giving it an DHCP address instead. I reset the IP as it was at time of install and the pwr cycled the copier. The next thing I know I went to recheck the network settings and the copier is telling me addition equipement is needed.

I will try the Clear>All>OK to see if that fixes the problem.

        Thanks,
        Scott
