Hi people, 52

getting alot more main controller failures on 35xx and 55xx .....seemingly since the majority of companies have now gone back to work.......ironically can say 50xx/52xx NEVER happened....very rare on 33xx.......

Wouldnt be a problem when Electroversal were still in business......We are an authorised Canon dealer but Canon have rejected 98% of claims......anyone with a known company that can repair in the U.k or e.u?

Same here we have been seeing a lot of failures. Seems to mainly happen on machines that have sat in sleep mode for months without being used.

hi,

same here, very rarely see a canon board go on the older machines, but the 55xx seem very flakey.

I'd like to be prepared for this. I have several 55xx out there. Do you have to replace other components with the main controller? Or is this series possible to swap from another?

Yes if you swap the Flash PCB, TPM PCB, Memory PCB & Bypass PCB over from old controller you can fit a used one OK.
