IRA C2225 Blank copies

Hi guys, I have this IRA C2225 copier that's giving me blank copies. No error code just blanks when copying or printing. Any help would be appreciated.

Possible laser. Did you have it out or disconnected?

Power off_
Disconnect the Laser, now power back up, make copies & see if an Error pops up.

Thanks for your reply guys. Yes, the laser was disconnected. In fact when I checked it, one of the ribbon ends had this blue plastic support. The other end did not have it and the conductors were bent back and loose from the ribbon.I trimmed the ends and added a plastic end support. Both ends now look similar. Is that the way they should be? With laser ribbons disconnected code is 196- 001. (Tried sending pix of ribbon end connection, but no go)

I believe they were the way they're supposed to be. You may want to try replacing the ribbon cable

Hi guys there seems to be a misunderstanding. I had disconnected the laser scanner unit. Thanks to Teckat's diagram I realized we were not on the same track.
There are 2 ends of the cable ( fk2- 9199) which connect to the unit. Need to know if both ends are terminated the same way making contact with terminals at top of socket.
Remember I said that i found the conductors bent back over the ribbon. I am not certain if that how it should have been. I trimmed the loose conductors and added a stiff support at the back. Is that the way it should be? Notice copier tech figured out what I was talking about. Sorry guys and thanks!

It's me again.Got the ribbon cable sorted out but still got blank copies. That should rule out the scanner. What next? Brian, Teckat copier tech guys, I need something because I just don't know what next to do.

If you have blank copies AND prints yes you can rule out the scanner.

Are your PRINTS totally blank, no image at all, or even very faint ?

It could be many things but if I were standing at the guessing table I'd be focusing on the laser. I don't remember where the trigger is but you should make sure the laser shutter is working properly.

Thanks for taking the time to assist guys. How do I ensure that the shutter is working properly Brian 8506? The copies are totally blank.
