    smtp password

Which Canon machines will copy the password for SMTP authentication when exporting the .dcm file?

It seems like the newer white advance machines do but I wonder about the C250, C5235 era machines.

I had to replace a HDD on an IRA C5235 with an intermittent E602 after importing the .dcm file it basically 'cloned' all settings. You MUST set a password when you export the old settings or it won't save your SMTP admin settings.

      Re: smtp password

Only mail under smtp does not overwrite. I do not know why.
As mentioned, you need to set up a password for transfer file.
Older models do not transfer all the settings because they do not have the option of a password. Series ira 20xx, 30xx, 40xx, 50xx, 60xx

Set SETTINGS/REGISTRATION>SET DESTINATION>INCLUDE PASSWORD WHEN EXPORTING ADDRESS BOOK to ON before exporting the DCM file from the old machine.

            for your information.
How to fully clone a device (all settings).

Within the DCM file, all settings of the master machine is taken.
When you go to the slave device, if you press these two keys, all the values will be imported to the receiving machine.
Take the DCM file from the master machine.
Put the DCM file on the USB key, enter in service mode, press RESTORE >
select LIST, press 1 > OK
Select DCM file number > OK
            press right arrow
            select PASSWORD
select the white space beside and enter the password of the DCM file.
            Select REPLACE
            Press RESTORE > OK
all settings of the master machine will be entered on the slave device.
