ImagePress C1 - E006 0002 problem

Hi there,

This error has popped up on a few machines now. Seems to come and go. Description in manual:

0002 Error in connection of fixing unit (hardware detection)
At normal copy, unmounted fixing unit was detected for one
moment (0.6 msec) with the front cover closed.
1.Check to see that the lever of the fixing/feed assembly has been
correctly set.

2.Check the connection of the DC controller.

Gonna check rails to see if they are loose today. Also might try replacing the connectors.

Any1 had the issue out there? If so what did you do to rectify the problem?

any help would be appreciated.

Check for jammed up paper that sometimes ends up in the fixing drawer connectors front and rear. This can cause odd issues. Re-fit all the connectors on the DC controller PCB.
If the symptom still occurs, check if the fixing drawer connector is soiled or deformed; if so, clean or modify it. Or replace it with a new one.

replaced the fuser connectors. we'll see how it goes. cheers for the reply.
