canon 6555i copying Function says complete

Good Morning, i normal don't work on Canon but we got one in. I can print to it and that works fine but if i copy off glass or doc feeder say complete but nothing comes out. Note doc feeder doesn't pull paper in but does see it. On glass scanner doesn't move but it say completed job. can some one help with this

Years back certain canons would do this if the staple cartridge was empty. Worth a look

Just had a c5550 doing this yesterday, did an RCON clear and rentered door specs to no avail. checked the esupport site and they had a kbase article about reformatting the HDD. did that and it fixed my issue. had to reload uniflow as the customer was using that, but HDD format and reloading system software fixed it. Good luck and let us know what you find.
