    copy quality on random pdf

i have an IRAC5535 that gives random light gray copies on multiple different pdf files. I have used every canon driver, upgraded adobe, upgraded firmware on copier. These pdf files print fine on there 5030 copier and fine on a 5550 at our office. Ive done adjustments in the various drivers without effect. I dont want to be a board changer so any help would be appreciated. I forgot to say that the print jobs on all other file types look wonderful.

Could try a different PDF reader such as FoxIt. Also does the machine have PostScript option, if so try PS driver.

This has worked for me on several occasions. Especially on wide format documents (Arch D, Arch E, Arch E1), web based PDF readers are entirely inadequate to the task. Foxit is my preference of the alternatives. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Some programs/apps turn on toner saver in driver...I've seen this quite a few times. Also are these black and white or color files? If your test files print with no issues, then need to dig deeper in the settings
