Have a customer that has a problem with using distinctive ring (D.R.P.D) he has the service from the tel company but i know there is a setting in the service mode > fax> ncu> cngdtct i just dont know what to set the bitswitch to there is no information in the service manual can anyone help.

Is it possible to enable DRPD on these devices?
Answer :
Distinctive Ring, (DRPD), is a feature set that may be found on small fax type devices that are typically used on a small or home office. Since all imageRUNNER ADVANCE series are built around a copier platform and are not "normally" placed in these environments, it is not currently part of the current feature set. The ADVANCE series however, does have options for multiple line connectivity based on the model in question. -

Hi I am aware that the desktop models have D.R.P.D. built in where you can set this up but on the Canon Imagerunner models there is a place in the service mode under mode level 1 where there is copier> feeder> sorter> fax (under fax there is NCU) and under Ncu >cngdct because there is no information in the service manual i need to know what to change this toComment
