    CRASH STARTUP CANON IRADV C256i

    Good morning,

My canon iradv c256i printer hangs at startup with message "data verification in progress..." and the progress bar is about halfway...
I performed the 24 start diagnostic, everything is ok.

I look forward to your expert insights to help me put an end to this breakdown.

    THANKS
    Good day

Sounds like the HDD is failing or the system software is corrupted.

Try the repair mode. Hold down keys 1&9 then power on device & let it complete can take over an hour.

If that doesn't work do an HDD format then reload the firmware.

      Good morning,

Thank you very much for your intervention.
I just tried starting with keys 1 and 9 pressed but without success.

I also think the system is corrupted.
I have to format the hard drive and reinstall the system.
What file system do I use for formatting? Fat or NTFS...
Also, could you send me a link to download the firmware?

      Thank you so much

I do google translation because my english is bad.

        Google translate is working well!

Once you install the firmware you will have the option to format the HDD using the SST etc.

          Hello!

I'll raise the issue again, I bought a canon C256i copier that was missing a hard drive, but I wasn't aware of that. Can anyone help me with the firmware? Many thanks in advance
