    IR400 DADF-A1

    Hi Techs,

I am havin big headache with this dadf; jams at all areas of this unit, even after thoroughly cleaning all the rollers. It would work for a few documents and start jamin again. Pse help. I have done the adjustments, like it says in manual, to no avail.

You sure it's not the C-1. I don't see the A-1 listed in the parts catalog. If it's the C-1 with all the individual belts and rollers, you should replace them. If it's the feeder with the big feed roller and sep pad, the pad can cause problems.

The biggest problem that I had with these feeders is the inside of the separation and feed belts getting dirty. Clean he outside all you want, but if the inside is still slipping, your screwed.

I usually disassemble the entire belt assembly and in a sink of sudzy water scrub up all the belt and pulley surfaces with a toothbrush. If it's got over 150K on the feeder replace all the tires, belts, etc. Those tires don't get any better with age.

By the way it is a DADF-A1. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
