[Error Code] Iradvc5840i DX - E0732, E074/E073 and loud noise

    Hi,

Couldn't find my original post on this model. Initially had E0732 and E074 and extremely loud noise which
turned out to be the main drive. Canon remedy advised changing main drive, which was done. The machine went into E014 which turned out to be a blown
fuse on paper feed pcb. The machine now boots into either E074/E073 and the main drive still noisy with the 4 motors going at full speed as if not driving anything.
Checked voltages on UN54 and getting zero volts on anything, not sure if this is because the machine is in error state, but with doors open, still no voltage on UN54. Took ITB assy out and still boots into E074. This machine is about a year old, with only about 50k on it.
    Any ideas? TIA

Check drum driver pcb J208 is connected, and J210 is fully seated.

        Hi

Looks as if it is main controller, drum drive pcb replaced but main drive motors still whirring away like mad.
I cleared the DC and the main drive motors stopped whizzing around, however the E732 came back and
doesn't recognise that a reader is attached. As this was being investigated by Canon remedy and now the cost of
the controller, management have decided to scrap it and use it for parts. Thanks for the replies
