IR 5030i and scan to email - TLS

Hello.
I am new to this forum, and have searched a lot for this problem. I can`t find a solution who works for me and then i try this excellent forum.
Is there a way to come around the problem with TLS and certificate on IR 5030i? is there any firmware update who opens the possibility for TLS?

assuming you are talking about Canon IR ADV C5030 then yes, update your machine to the lastest version and it will support TLS V1.2. Side note, smtp comunication port can only be changed in service mode for this model

Yes. That's correct, it is adv. Then it is just to find the correct firmware.

You can update the firmware via service mode.

No, it will not communicate with server. I read somewhere that it not works any more. my be i have wrong address or something.

it still work, if you have v87 (tls 1.2 suported) and both updater and smtp dont work i would bet you have bad dns or gateway setup (check carefully your network set up) or there is restricions on the trafic in your network. smtp comunication port must be set in service mode

I would check Gateway, DNS, and time first though.

With Gmail it works now. The problem was that pop RX must be activated to get some kind of verification.

You can update FW via Updater in service mode if you have connect internet
