I found the solution to this a while back and can't remember it. When I put an original on the glass and hit start, it scans it and then gives me the option to scan more, cancel or start copying. I just want the machine to make the copy when I hit start. I know it can because the customer has a second 400 that just goes right into copy mode. Compared the settings with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

If the "Collate" function is set as default, the machine will do exactly what you have described. If you turn off the collate function, it will start immediately.
I've checked it with an iR ADV C5550i. The iR ADV 400 should do the same.I don't care about who your father is, as long as I'm fishing here, you won't walk on water. -
