    7095 drum blade

I'm an end user of a 7095. I'm getting a thin line around the cylinder that prints black on the sheet. I'm guessing that that is a nick or something in the wiper blade. My question is can I use this blade either turning it over or turning it around or do I need to get a new blade? I do have the service manual so I guess I can tackle this myself. I know that the drum is about 1900 bucks so i don't want to do something stupid here. Appreciate all of the info I can get.

    Thanks,

You can turn the blade around, top to bottom, so the same face is still pointing to drum. There are 2 edges on this blade, and they are on the same side of the blade. That is what I mean by top and bottom. If you are going to the trouble of pulling this apart, you may want to throw a new blade in instead. A lot of effort to go thru if you have to do this more than once. Pay attention to the print on the current blade, and orient the replacement so the printed numbers read the same way.

Thanks. I would really only want to do this once so I'll take your advice and order a new one.

Dont forget to check the black disk(recipricating arm) on the front of the AP kit.If it isnt forcing the blade back and forth then toner will leak past the blade and cause lines on your copies.
