    irc 2550

    hi guys any idea on this new machine.is this machine work good like 3200? how about the copy?

    Its rather good, copy quality is okay. I think its better than the 3200.

      The drums are proving to be a problem.
      We've had many fresh from the box that either have horrendous quality issues or throw up E020-XXXX codes.
      Also there is an issue at the moment where the rib from the inside of the itb assy comes unglued and drops into the drum unit and siezes up the whole machine.
      Should I go on?
      It's very disappointing because as screwy says...they have quite good CQ

          It seems to me that Canon have different models for different countries, I have never seen a 2550 but it looks like a IRC3380i what we have in the UK.
          These models suffered from toner spillage, it drops down onto the optical sensors that control the toner supply to the drum units error 025xx is quite common. Also there's an issue with the front door, the force required to activate the door switch is too much for the door, which over time gets distorted and the message close front door appears.
          Canon have supplied updated parts to rectify these two issues.
