Installing a new drum unit. Is there anything that must be performed? I do not have a service manual other than Jim Intravia and it is hard to tell if this setting I'm seeing must be performed. Any help appreciated, thank you.

ensure the optics are clean (all Mirrors) and ensure the label on the drum matches the service mode machine settings. You may have to set BIAS to -10 to -25 in some cases.

should do a RAM INIT if you or your colleague previously change any BIAS setting before....

RAM INIT will erase all machine/user settings in the copier and set it back to factory default. If you are going to do this, be sure to enter all settings from the door specs and note all customer settings, as they will be erased!! I would not recommend this unless absolutely necessary and have an issue/ odd problem you can't seem to resolve.

I think this post covers it: http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/ca...-np-6035f.html
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
