    Canon ir8500 help

I am looking for someone who can assist me with any issues on my canon ir8500. I am in the Phoenix area and if there is anyone that actually lives here in the valley and would be willing to come take a look at my machine that would be great. otherwise maybe someone I can email or call for assistance??

Just check your machine there and post it here whatever issues may arise.

I just did a Google search in your area, and there are Canon certified service providers in your area. ProCopy Office Solutions is one of them. Why not try to locate them or some other certified company to assist you locally

        Canon Ir8500 help

okay well first I have to issues I'm trying to figure out.

        1. when I turn on the copier I hear a clicking noise while the copier is warming up and while running copies. What could this be and is it something I can fix on my own?

        2. I also have the ImagePass M1 server that goes with this machine but when trying to turn on I get an error reads
        PAR: BUFFER
        >FAIL: MEMORY
        err!
When I push ok it reads "system booting" and then comes up with "please connect image runner" which of course it is connected, i've tried both serial and ethernet cable and get the same response. however I only get the error message when the serial cable is plugged into the back.. Again is this something I can fix on my own? would could the problem be?

        Any response is helpfull, thanks

The machine needs to be looked at by a tech to determine what is wrong with it....hard drive in RIP might be shot, corrupt software... You need to place a service call....otherwise good luck!!!

I agree you should really look for a dealer so a tech could look at it.
Noise can be coming from drum cleaning (waste toner),drum drive, fuser section. Abnormal noise is a sign of concern. As for the fiery, Canuck put you on the right track.
