1st post and he wants something. By joining this site he agreed to the rules. He isn't following them. Furthermore, these people who are mostly foreigners [ non-US] come here, ask for something for free, don't bother to even say 'please' , are just looking for a freebie, and will not come back till they need something else. Its annoying to say the least.

I do agree. I guess it is like being scammed. They have nothing to offer to the forum. They have no intentions of offering advice to other techs. Just a free handout. Yeah, that is crappy to say the least.

I've got the latest version of the SST. I don't generally mention it as I don't want emails from these bozos asking for free copies of it. The SST as is all firmware is a tool. Real techs buy tools, they have no expectation of getting their tools for free, and this is no exception. I am a businessman and my children like to eat as everyone else's do. Giving away software and manuals is not in my business plan.
On occasion, I do give away manuals and stuff, but only to those who contribute to the board, have something to trade or folks that I know.

Yes, you will need a new hard drive, Service Support Tool, and System Software for the iR5570 to fix your problem. E602 is an indication that your hard drive is dead/dying. You can try starting the copier and holding the 1 and 9 keys down, to put the copier into a hard drive check utility. This may resolve your issue, but highly doubtfull.

This posting would get more attention if it were a new item instead of posting it at the end of a long line of responses to a different issue.

mrfixit: an E602 serach would turn up a hundred hits with details on what to do, why dont newbies just read it first.
