Has Canon come out with a version of SST that works in Vista yet? I thought I heard it was coming out sometime this year.
SST for Vista?

Stick with using XP. XP is great. Canon will have some problems if it can't get SST to work as well as it does with XP on Vista and Windows 7. Once Windows 7 is released, I expect there'll be a big decline in XP users.
Windows 7 is slated for an October release so maybe Canon's working on SST for both Vista and Windows 7 at the moment?Comment

Yes, the new SST V4.11 is officially supported by Canon for Vista, However it DOES NOT support parallel, nethawk cable or the new usb to parallel. It does work with the newer machines and a crossover cable. It has been out since 3-24-09 see attached tech pubAttached FilesComment

Thus it is not fully functional. Either they should make it work with parallel cables or provide hardware and/or software upgrades for old machines such as the IR3300 so that SST can be used with a crossover cable.Comment

Just released SST V4.22Et now supports the new usb to parallel with Vista, but only the new cable NOT the OLD NETHAWK cableComment

New there had to be a reason why the new cable costs so much! They want to make a big profit from selling a new cable to replace a cable that is working fine except for not being supported by SST in Vista.Comment
