      Do you mean E602-0001?
This error is associated with your HDD,
it may be faulty. You might need to replace it.

First thing to try is to turn copier off using main power switch (on right hand side). Turn it back on while holding down 1 and 9. You should see some rectangles on the screen and eventually Download mode. Try reloading firmware using SST (if you have SST and firmware). If this doesn't work you'll need to change the hdd.

If the copiers showing a black screen with E602-0001 in the top left wouldn't 2+8 download mode work better as it bypasses the user interface?

E602-0001 HDD is dead or not present. You have to reformat it and load system or else buy new one. I have HDD for $500 only

Good price, if I were you I'd jump on it before the price goes up or he changes his mind.

With just a little bit of knowledge, namely how to edit the HDFormat.ift file you can use some hdds that are much cheaper than that.

if you can enter diagnostic mode ,the hdd can be recovered easily.
if the hdd runs with bad noise, you have to replace a new hdd.
perchasing a new hdd from canon is very expensive, so you can buy a normal ide-mode hdd and setup a new system in it .
by the way, is the ir2200 with a NIC? the system is different if ir2200 is not with a NIC.
