    iRC3200 E020-0181

Hi guys any idea of this error code E020-0181. If you refer to manual is related to ITB charges.

Almost all the parts have changed 4 drum unit assembly, ITB, D.C and main D.C con stil the same.

It will occur after you copying 100 copies and machine will do the gradiation adjustment after that it will appear the error code.

Thanks in advance any of your advice guys

Update system software to most recent version. I had a similar but differant problem this week that system software took care of. After that I would go for pattern reading assm, ram and rom chips, sram board (piggy backed on another board piggy backed on main cnt).

hi,0181 is normally the itb sensor assy being dirty.the slider has felt pads inside it when it gets old it wipes dirt straight back onto the sensors.

        I am a litlle confused...

Not sure by your statement, what was changed and what was not.

THUK has a pretty good line on this problem.

I also have seen where the sensor assembly got bumped out of place in the back, where it slides up/down. I did this to myself while servicing the ITB. It popped E020 codes on me till I reseated it so it could slide down into place.

          Good day to u guys,

Thank you for responding to my problem. Problem solved and is a human error done by my junior tech.

The problem is due to SALT sensor shutter is not open and is not reading the ITB surface cause the error. The front cover there is a small cover where u keep your data sheet is not fixed hence when you close is not engage the arm to open the SALT sensor shutter (as i say is human error).

          Cheerss......

try to test type 6 in test mode

Guy , it would be better if you try to test TYPE 6 in Test mode. and recheck your right angle and straight line is normal or not. if your grid line aren't in the same line, then your laser got problem cause i had got problem like you and i tried doing so that it works.!! man. tell me if you can solve this problem. if not, pls contact me again or reply me ( Don't forget to "Check Pattern Reader Assembly(FG6-8960). and DC control PCB; if possible)

That shutter actuator is a pain in the backside..!!!
I've seen this fault when the last tech to an Irc3200 forgot to tighten the screws on the logbook cover
