    Canon Email Meter Reading

    We are a canon dealer.

Just wondering if there is anyway to setup meter readings emailed to us at the end of each month? Anyway to do this without added software?

    Thanks

You need software called imageWARE Remote, It collects the page counter, service part counter, alarm, jam, and error code data from Canon devices with the embedded Remote Diagnostic System (eRDS). The eRDS, built into recent eRDS enabled Canon imageRUNNER devices.

ImageWARE Enterprise Management Console will also do this for you.

It will work on more of the legacy machines (like the iR5000, for example.)

The bad news is that it's additional software.

The good news is that it's free, and does not require a server. (XP Pro works just fine.)

You can get iWEMC from the Canon eSupport site, under "Downloads", and then "Software".

Perhaps it's not available worldwide; I don't know.

I do know that it is in the US.
