You have entered all network configurations. Can you describe what you have done. Do have Anti virus software like, Norton,Mcafee. No offense, but are your computers network? Are they set up with a router, switch.

can you browse via smb to the folder on the copier?(as long as it in not $hidden share) if you can't browse that indicates that your gonna have a problem...

This is a very common problem. Things to try are. Use the SMTP server's ip address rather than the name in the network setup as sometimes it does not resolve the DNS naming convention properly. Also make sure that the user that you are using to scan has write access to the network share you are trying to scan to. Sometimes you have to enable the Exchange server to relay e-mails from the IP address. This is a setting within exchange in system manager (you may have to get the customer's IT to do this for you). You have to effectivly "white list" the IP address of the machine. After getting the basics like this covered then you need to start looking at user rights etc.

                Check this

DNS If the dns isnt right then you have problem no 1
Use mailserver ip instead of name. The physical name and the locical name is not alwas the same.
                Good luck
