    iR3300 d/sided jam under drum

I am getting double side jams on long run 50 or more and paper folds under the drum, sometimes curls up under the drum.

    normall copying no problems

I have changed the static eleminator with new one, still no joy and also changed transport unit from another copier as well.
If someone had a similar fault please could you help?

checked all the HVT springs at back copier, where the trasport bed contacts OK.

    Many thanks

The fuser entry guide breaks sometimes which stops the paper in front of the fuser.
But the jam is usually for everything not just Duplexing.

somewhere in this forum ive read that there is somekind of heater switch for the paper cassetes...if humidity is the cause, turning on the switch might help?

Cassette heaters are an optional extra and most customers don't have them installed.

Thanks guys, i am visiting customer this week again and will get jam code, but i think jam code might throw the fault off course as the paper only folds on d/side on long run under the drum.

On single side the paper does not fold under the drum, maybe i will order transfer charge roller.

Will come back with jam code as well
                thanks

HI guys..ok make it short and sweet..my field tech do have this problem and i rectify the problem by doin some settings on the machine ..so far so good, my customer did not call back for paper jam on doubleside, this is what i do..go to FUNCTION,COMMON SETTING,STORE PAPER TYPE,SELECT MAIN CASSETTE,DEFAULT TO RECYCLE,OK.
It works here in singapore as the humidity is very high and most of the paper tends to get moist..no harm trying right..all the best

The only problem I could forsee with this is if the 3300 has print capabilities, then the paper source type issue could be a problem with the driver. Set the driver to accept Recycled paper, and you should be good to go...

Chech and see if paper is actually not sticking to drum on side one (paper should stay flat on transport), then watch side two if it lifts try replacing static charge unit (if not already done)or HVT
Copiers are only as good as there last service

Why don't you cheat the door and watch the paper travel thru the machine. This machine is not that sophisticated and very easy to trouble shoot.

The paper quality maybe the problem of the jam, try to change another brand of paper or heavier paper(80g). If paper jam still occur then try to use A4R paper to perform double side printing.

I have changed the HVT unit and set paper type to recle as suggested.

Inspected customer paper and using recyle paper advise customer to use laser quality paper for d/sided copies.

So far so good not come back .

Thanks for all you help guys.
